Founded in 2016
My Local Bobby was established in 2016 in response to increasingly stretched police resources and budgets. Our mission is simple yet powerful: “Creating Safer Communities” and “Eliminating the Fear of Crime.” We have quickly become the U.K.’s most effective security services provider by staying true to these goals and implementing a “Broken Windows” strategy. This approach focuses on maintaining and monitoring urban environments to prevent minor crimes, ultimately deterring more serious criminal activity.
Our Origins: A Blueprint for Success
Our journey began in the Stradbroke Drive area of Chigwell, Essex, where our first beat laid the foundation for our future operations. By working closely with local stakeholders, we successfully transformed the neighbourhood into a safer place, a legacy that continues in Stradbroke Drive to this day.
Our Growth and Expansion From Chigwell to Nationwide
Since those early days in Chigwell, My Local Bobby has grown organically into a full-service security company. We now manage 14 residential beats, 16 Public Realm Beats, and a variety of guarding assignments for prestigious clients, including Pandora, Lazari and the Bank of Egypt. Our team has expanded to include over 150 fully SIA-qualified Bobbies, 8 detectives on our Prolific Crimes Team, and a dedicated operations team. This group is supported by a fleet of 20 patrol vehicles and 2 area cars.

In recent years, we have enhanced our services through a partnership with our sister company, TM-Eye, the U.K.’s leading private prosecutor and investigative company. This collaboration allows us to further reduce crime by privately prosecuting offenders in the areas we serve, bolstering the excellent work done by the My Local Bobby team.
In addition, our work is supported by Woolf Law, a trusted legal partner providing expert oversight and representation throughout the prosecution process. Together, this triad of security, investigation, and legal capability enables a comprehensive approach to tackling crime—delivering real results and safer communities.
