Formed in 2016, My Local Bobby emerged during a time of stretched police resources and budgets. Our mission is clear: “Creating Safer Communities” and “Eliminating the Fear of Crime.” We have become the U.K.’s most effective security services provider by adhering to these aims and operating a “Broken Windows” strategy, which emphasises maintaining and monitoring urban environments to prevent small crimes, thus deterring more serious crimes.
Our journey began in the Stradbroke Drive area of Chigwell, Essex, where our first beat became the blueprint for our operations. By collaborating closely with stakeholders, we successfully helped create a safer neighbourhood, a legacy that Stradbroke Drive still enjoys today.
Since those early days in Chigwell, My Local Bobby has expanded organically into a comprehensive security company. We now offer a diverse range of services and continue to grow our team each year. Currently, we manage 18 residential beats, 13 Public Realm Beats, and numerous guarding jobs for notable clients such as McDonald’s, Pandora, Dunelm, Arc’teryx, Aspinal, SALT, Trinny London, and the Bank of Egypt. Our team consists of over 90 fully SIA-qualified Bobbies, 8 detectives on our Prolific Crimes Team and a dedicated and talented operations team. The team is supported by our 20 patrol vehicles and 2 area cars.
In recent years, we have strengthened our capabilities through our partnership with our sister company, TM-Eye, the U.K.’s most prolific private prosecutor and investigative company. This collaboration enhances the excellent work done by the My Local Bobby team, enabling us to further reduce crime by privately prosecuting individuals who commit offences in the areas we serve.

This system allows us to promptly notify local businesses within the BIDs we serve, helping them take immediate action to protect their property and staff.
The detailed alerts from ShopSafe provide critical information that enables us to deploy our resources more effectively. Whether it’s increasing patrols in a specific area or advising businesses on precautionary measures, the insights gained from ShopSafe Alert allow us to tailor our approach to the unique needs of each district.
The intelligence gathered on the Platform also allows us to work with the Police and our sister company TM-Eye to bring about private prosecutions against offenders.
